About SajiloQR
SajiloQR is a free, browser-based QR code generator and scanner. It was created to solve a simple problem: most QR tools on the web either charge money, require an account, or quietly send your data to a server. This one does none of those things. Everything happens locally in your browser, so nothing you type, paste, scan, or photograph ever leaves your device.
Why the name?
"Sajilo" means "easy" or "simple" in Nepali. The name reflects the goal of the tool — generating and scanning QR codes should be as close to effortless as possible. No clutter, no paywalls, no tutorial you have to read before you can start.

Privacy by design
Privacy is not a feature bolted on at the end; it is how the tool was built. The QR code is drawn on your screen using a JavaScript library. The scanner reads your camera feed frame by frame to find a code. No backend exists to receive anything. The only thing stored is your recent history, and that stays in your browser's local storage on your own device. If you clear your browser data or press "Clear All", it is gone.
Who is behind SajiloQR?
SajiloQR is built and maintained by Arun Neupane, a web developer from Parbat, Nepal. I design, write, and ship every part of this site myself, and I personally read and reply to every message sent through the contact page. If you find a bug, have an idea for a new QR type, or want a guide written on a topic I haven't covered, I would genuinely love to hear about it.
About the guides
The guides in the Guides section are written to be genuinely useful — practical, accurate, and current. They cover everything from creating your first QR code to recognising QR code scams and printing codes that actually scan. New guides are added regularly as the technology and its uses evolve.
A note on honesty
This site is free to use and funded by advertising. I do not collect or sell your personal information, and I do not use "dynamic" QR codes that track who scans them. A code you generate with SajiloQR is a static code: the information is baked directly into the pattern, and it will keep working years from now.
